1. Who We Are

nogoon ("we", "us", "our") operates the website nogoon.io and provides a porn-blocking script for macOS and Windows.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect as little data as possible:

Payment data: When you purchase the permanent version, your payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe provides us with a transaction ID and payment status.
Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics, which collects anonymous, aggregated page view data. Our website also uses analytics and advertising measurement tags, which may use cookies and identifiers.
Execution tracking: When you run the free trial or paid script, a lightweight beacon records the event (operating system, timestamp). The server also receives the network address of the request for attribution and repeat-install measurement.

Windows app measurement: We count download requests with a random browser cookie (up to one year), and app openings, installation outcomes, and license confirmations with a random app-profile identifier and app version. Pending events can be stored locally and retried when the app is open. We do not collect the websites you visit. Download and app identifiers are separate; these counters do not identify which individual download became an installation.

3. Accounts and Browsing Data

No account is needed to install the blocker. Payment and license delivery may involve your email address.
No browsing history or browsing behavior
No data sold to third parties — ever

4. What the Script Does on Your Device

The script modifies local system settings on your computer:

Sets DNS servers to CleanBrowsing's adult content filter
Adds adult domain entries to your system's hosts file
Enables SafeSearch on Google and Bing

The desktop installer installs the Nogoon app. On Windows, the trial creates a scheduled cleanup task to restore the previous settings after 72 hours. The app sends the measurement events described above when opened and used. DNS requests are handled by the configured DNS provider.

6. Data Retention

Stripe transaction records are retained as required by financial regulations. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Vercel per their standard policy. Windows measurement identifiers and counters are stored in our measurement database. The browser download cookie expires after one year.

This product is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
